“I’ve worked on over a hundred episodes of produced television, with some incredible directors. …I have yet to find someone who can wield the ability to get such compelling and intimate performances from actors across the whole talent spectrum. They make vets shine again. They make young actors discover yet unknown love for the craft.”

Scene Study:
Acting for Stage & Screen
(Teen, Tween, & Adult Classes)
Fall/Winter: A semester-long course wherein the students master scene work for the stage; then, for Teen and Adult classes, we will adapt that same scene for the camera. Once the fundamentals have been covered, your newfound knowledge will be applied to a second scene. Courses at every age level will include: playing opposites, finding your beats, exploring given circumstances, full-body listening, hunting for information, power dynamics, and playing with your scene partner.
“It’s an empowering experience to work with them, and their discerning eye results in exquisite work.”
- CHRISTINE LIN
(TV: American Horror Story, Surfside Girls | Film: Quiz Lady | Broadway: Chinglish)
Classes for Teens and Adults will include using the camera as a scene partner and scaling a performance for the medium. Tween classes, instead of on-camera work, will include more on fundamentals, playfulness, and losing inhibitions.
